Big Bear Lake is a four season mountain resort located in Southern California’s San Bernardino National Forest. Remarkably, Big Bear experiences over 300 days a year of sunshine. Altitudes range from 6750 feet to 9000 feet. The lake is over seven miles long with 23 miles of shoreline. Full-time population is approximately 15,000. The average daytime temperature is around 72 degrees in summer and 30 degrees in winter. Average annual snowfall is approximately 72 inches. Big Bear may be reached by automobile through three routes: Hwy 330 through San Bernardino, Hwy 38 through Redlands and Hwy 18 through Lucerne Valley. The Big Bear City Airport is open to private planes, with a runway length of 5850 feet. Click here
